A year in MenART is an extraordinary personal experience. Interest exceeds our capacity, and that is precisely why we have prepared MenART Impulse. With the bold intention to capture the key ideas we address during the year-long collaboration with mentors. How to recognise talent, how to support and develop it? How to guide students meaningfully? When does a pupil become an artist? Questions concerning passion, obsession, motivation, inspiration and feedback are answered by prominent figures of the Czech art scene who, in their role as mentors in MenART, help talented students and their teachers find their own path.
Thus the MenART Impulse project was born – a ten-minute story with the ambition to move forward all those who are interested in art, work with art or study it. Desire is contagious!

Art is not the Tour de France, collaboration is more important than victory
Series I
This project was created with the support of the PPF Foundation, which has long been dedicated to the development of Czech talent. We believe in those who have the courage to work on their dream, to grow, to step beyond boundaries – whether imaginary or real. The MenART project seeks out and develops precisely such young personalities. Together we have searched for a way to share its basic principles also with those who did not get into the mentoring programme but for whom art is, or could be, a lifelong passion. That is why we initiated the creation of the MenART Impulse platform, which aims to offer inspiration, leadership and a view of the field through short video interviews with those who have succeeded in it, have a successful career behind them and at the same time devote their time to developing young talents.
Thank you to our patrons! MenART would not exist without the trust of its patrons, whose determination to support the young generation in arts education stands at the very birth of the entire MenART Academy.
