Beata Hlavenková (b. 1978)

Composer, pianist, singer

- graduate of composition at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and jazz composition and arranging at Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts, USA

- she has been releasing her own albums since 2004

- her albums Theodorus and Sně received the Anděl music award

- she has collaborated with, for example, Lenka Dusilová and Eternal Seekers, Jaromír Honzák, the electronic music producer HRTL, and many other artists

- she composes music for film (Dukla 61, Zátopek, King of Šumava), and also dedicates herself to composing for theatre, dance, children's theatre and audiobooks. For the soundtrack to Zátopek she received the Czech Lion award.

How to recognise talent, how to support and develop it? How to guide students meaningfully? When does a pupil become an artist?
Questions concerning passion, obsession, motivation, inspiration and feedback are answered by prominent figures of the Czech art scene who, in their role as mentors in MenART, help talented students and their teachers find their own path.
Thus the MenART Impulse project was born – a ten-minute story with the ambition to move forward all those who are interested in art, work with art or study it. Desire is contagious!
